Rolling Rock

In September 2006 I was delighted to get an invitation back to Kentucky by Jane Wooley from the Dry Stone Conservancy to help run some workshops and judge a competition that was based in the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill in Mercer County, Kentucky. After the competition I took part in some assessment for the DSC certification scheme.

It was a long drive with the DSC training manager Neil to Rolling Rock Quarry, Reading, Pennsylvania but the highlight of this visit was to be asked by the DSC to run a workshop at Rolling Rock but also help build a Dry Stone Bridge in memory of the late Hommer Weller the founder of the Rolling Rock Quarry.
